Childcare Scheme Survey

As Board Members with children we are always looking for ways to improve the facilities on offer to our existing young families within our membership. We have therefore done research to make a creche available to these children (3mnth-5yrs) so that their parents are able to participate fully in the Yomim Noraim services over Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, safe in the knowledge that their children are being cared for by professional registered staff to the highest standard.

We have approached a Mobile OFSTED registered creche unit. They supply qualified registered childcare and CRB checked nursery nurses based on a strict child to staff ratio. They will come in and transform an existing space into a fully functioning day nursery (including cots, highchairs, bouncers, play mats, soft flooring). They also provide age appropriate activities and games (suitable to do on Yom Tov). As well as all insurance and risk assessments completed they also maintain a strict monitoring system including a preregistration pack for each child and secure check in and check out service.

Rabbi Brawer who fully supports this initiative together with the Board of Management have given us the "go ahead" to send out this feasibility study.

Please be aware that due to limited space on the Croxdale Road site, presuming this project goes ahead, we will only able to offer this service for this year on the Yavneh site.

We are appealing to you as members with young children to please take the time to answer these questions carefully so that we are able to make an assessment based on your support as to whether we are able to go ahead and offer this service. Please do note that this would need to be self financing.

In order to include your views we will need a response by 25th July at the latest.

As with all Shul events no child will be excluded should their parents be faced financial difficulty and each case will be dealt with confidentially via the Care office.
