The Consultation Process

A lengthy consultation process was undertaken with all groups and sections of the Community which culminated in the preparation of a brief and appointment of an Architect to consider a number of options. The funding for this was announced in and provided for by the 2009 Kol Nidre appeal.

Numerous options, including do nothing, relocation, and various building configurations were considered. Discussions have been held with local planners, financial experts, engineers, quantity and valuation surveyors as well as other relevant property professionals from both within and outside the community.

No aspect of the site was considered sacrosanct so as to not influence the outcome of the process. We can not go forward if we are dictated to by any singular issue that any particular interested party may have a particular affection for.
