In addition Leon Silverton, an Architect. who is involved in Bushey, Hendon and Mill Hill produced some initial thoughts.
Why have these people been involved?
These individuals are all experts in their field and understand the industry and how to take the process forward in the best way possible. The committee may look to involve other individuals also who are also experts in their field and can move the process forwards.
What have this sub committee done to date?
The Committee met on a number of occasions with stakeholders. A brief was prepared following detailed discussions with user groups, the Rabbi etc and agreed by the Board of Management. The funding and appointment was agreed with the US and the Board. Following this approval an architect was briefed. The community was advised that the development work to date would be funded from the 2009 Kol Nidrei appeal. Those who did not give did not pay, and those who did were fully aware of where there money was going. The money spent so far has not come from fees.
