Babies and Children
Community Care recognises that having a newborn baby is at times very difficult. Hormonal imbalance, sleep deprivation combined with all the other changes a baby brings, can make the mother feeling that it is difficult to cope. If you would like to talk to someone who can offer emotional support as well as practical advice, please contact us. All enquires will be treated in strictest confidence.
The Shul has a Baby and Toddler Group which meets weekly. Babies and toddlers, along with their mummys, daddys, grandparents or carers are invited to the group which takes place at shul from 10am - 11:30am on Tuesdays during term time. Activities include music, singing, toys and arts and crafts. Admission is £5 per family. We need volunteers to help with the Tuesday baby group. Please contact us if you are available.
We also run BES Babies at Croxdale Road on Shabbat, with songs and toys for under 2s. The next date is 16 March 2019 at 11am. See the weekly newsletter for upcoming dates.
The next Baby Blessing Ceremony for members will take place in January 2020.
If you are at all concerned about your child physical or emotional development, or have any other issues surrounding their welfare, please contact the Care Line or get in contact with Norwood, the leading Jewish Charity that supports children and their families.
